Sodium Ferrocyanide is the sodium salt of the coordination and an inorganic compound. In its hydrous form, Sodium Ferrocyanide is sometimes known as prussiate (cyanide) of soda. It is a yellow crystalline salt of sodium that is soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. The yellow color is due to the ferrocyanide anion. Incompetent of the presence of the cyanide ligands, sodium ferrocyanide has low toxicity. The ferrocyanides have lower toxicity. Like all ferrocyanide salt solutions, direct contact with an acid may result in the production of toxic cyanide gases.
Sodium ferrocyanide is an odorless yellow salt of cyanide that sinks and mixes with water. It does not burn itself thus non-combustible salt. It appears as a monoclinic crystalline structured solid. It is slightly efflorescent. Its decomposition occurs at high temperatures on this it emits toxic fumes of cyanide. Silicon Dioxide is insoluble in most organic solvents. It also becomes anhydrous at 81.5 °C. when heated, it forms sodium cyanide, iron, carbon, and nitrogen. Inhalation and direct contact of Silica are hazardous. Its ingestion is very toxic.
It has several applications.
Silicon Dioxide has a monoisotopic mass of 303.912 and a refractive index of 1.53. It reacts rapidly with carbonyl compounds. Industrially, it is formulated from hydrogen cyanide, ferrous chloride, and calcium hydroxide.
