Brom-i-cide (Stabilized Bromine Biocide)

What is Brom-i-cide (Stabilized Bromine Biocide)?

Brom-i-cide is a stabilized bromine-based biocide specially formulated to provide effective and long-lasting microbial control in industrial water systems. As a powerful oxidizing biocide, it targets bacteria, algae, fungi, and other harmful microorganisms, helping to prevent biofouling, corrosion, and operational inefficiencies.

The active bromine component in Brom-i-cide is stabilized to maintain its disinfectant properties over extended periods, even under harsh conditions such as high temperature, variable pH, and presence of organic matter. This ensures continuous protection in cooling towers, reverse osmosis systems, pulp and paper processing, and oilfield water treatment.

Brom-i-cide is preferred for its rapid action, broad-spectrum efficacy, and lower formation of harmful disinfection by-products compared to traditional chlorine-based biocides. Its ability to control microbial growth helps extend equipment life, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Although Brom-i-cide is effective and safe when used as directed, concentrated solutions can be corrosive and irritant to skin and eyes. Proper handling and protective equipment are recommended.
